In Life: I am a twin, as a twin, I have been part of a team since the day
I was born!
Golf has taught me that honesty & dedication combined with leadership is what it takes to you rise to another level in all aspects of my life.
I know what it takes to be a part of a winning team.

ACTIVITIES & HOBBIES:
INTERESTS:
Golfing: I enjoy being outside, learning about the game, and overcoming the challenges of the course. As someone that is very interested in the design and engineering of the courses, I get lost in the unique experience of each. To me, the impossibility of mastering the game keeps me excited to become the best player I can be.
Share a time when you faced a challenge, obstacle, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience? Meat! My mother is a vegetarian, I am not. While going through a tremendous growth spurt over the past two years, cooking has become one of my hobbies. I like learning new recipes to cook steak and chicken! Occasionally, I cook for the whole family! I am 6’ 2” tall now...
The First Tee Program: Started the program in 4th Grade, I have learned many things.
I use the STAR acronym often:
I have used STAR many times in school, mostly while taking tests. STAR was useful recently, during a Chemistry test I STOPped and thought/THINK about the question, ANTICIPATED the answer. RESPONDED to the context clues to determine the answer of the question which helped me get an A!Because of First Tee program, I have had golf as a constant in my life. Each year I have met many people in the local golf community and learned about the Nine Core Values. These values have allowed me to continue to grow my golf game and me as an individual. If you ask my mom, I dress better than any of my friends. By wearing golf outfits most of the time, she loves that I wear a collared shirt and tuck it in with a belt!
WILLEM M. JARON
I am a Senior in high school, 4-year Varsity Golf Letterman, 4.26 GPA student; I intend to continue playing golf in college at a highly selective university. For me, golf is more than a game, from the mechanics of a swing to course designs.
I am working to turn ideas into reality by combining my passion for the game with a career in the world of golf. I can see myself playing on tour just as much as I can see myself, designing, engineering, and building courses. To attain my goals of being the best player I can be, I spend hours practicing, training, evaluating my swing, and playing in tournaments.
I attend the Engineering Academy at Naples High School, where I have earned college credits & 3-D modeling certification in Autodesk Revit and Inventor. I have worked at my local golf club (Windstar on Naples Bay) since I turned 16. This summer, I plan to intern with a golf course landscape architect/engineer. At the same time, I was playing in as many tournaments as possible.
My parents have taught me that combining your passion/hobby with your career leads to success and lifelong happiness.
I realize that there are many students with the same goals and skills; the one thing that uniquely sets me apart is that I have grown up in a town with year-round golf and many golf pros.
I have been fortunate to volunteer at many PGA Tour golf events and talk with people living my dream.
They have taught me that success is more than just technical skills and winning. They have taught me that honesty and leadership are what make you rise to another level.

How are you giving back to the community, and how will you give back in the future? (i.e., in high school, college, etc.)
Freshman, Sophomore & Junior Year: Twice a week after school, I help the head coach during practices and tournaments.
For the past three years, I volunteered as a standard-bearer at the Chubb Classic & QBE Shootout on the PGA Tour

What is your mantra, and explain why? There are three that I use often:
Two my mother always says:
Meaning, try your best always to keep going even if you fail. Always be respectful of other people's time. Mostly, you should try your best to be early for everything you do. This allows you to be able to set yourself up for success without rushing.
